Beacon is an online resource created for individuals and families navigating their way through separation or divorce.
The difference with Beacon, is that our articles and legal information cater for people from all walks of life, gender, family circumstance, living arrangement and sexual preference – we found that most legal or family law websites only catered for heterosexual married couples either with or without children.
Our mission is to create a go-to resource for information, advice and motivational articles that will appeal to a wider audience. So whether you are straight or gay, married or cohabiting, have children or don’t – Beacon will endeavour to provide you with the support and advice that you need to survive and thrive through separation or divorce.
Our Founder
Beacon was born following one hell of a divorce.
“I was in a tricky situation, having been coerced in to bankruptcy then dumped just 5 months in to it (at a gay wedding!) for my husband’s best friend from university… finding the right information for me online was difficult, nigh on impossible. I saw a gap in the market and have spent the last few years developing it alongside getting divorced and my own personal healing”. Sarah Hall
Sarah has worked in creative marketing for over 15 years and decided to put her skills and expertise to good use to find a solution to help others who are embarking on or who are trying to navigate the emotional and practical pitfalls of separation or divorce.

amicable
amicable helps couples to reach fairer agreements when separating or divorcing.
The app simplifies the process, to reduce costs and help you build a positive future apart.
Founders Kate Daly & Pip Wilson
“We created amicable after Kate’s traumatic and expensive divorce. The cost and the emotional damage of involving lawyers was a huge shock. The world needed a solution that put families first and helped parents remain on good terms…our solution was amicable
Our combined experience of Psychology (Kate) and Technology (Pip) meant we were uniquely placed to create an experience-led divorce service that put families first.
amicable was created to help people stay in control of their divorce and not feel overwhelmed. Most of all to help couples find a positive future apart. You don’t have to be divorcing to be a fan of amicable, most of us know someone who’s separating. With your help, our fixed price, faster and fairer way to separate will change the way the world divorces.”

Kris Graberek – Divorced Dad 101
“I write to help put a voice to the challenges faced by single dads. After my separation I found that talking with others was the most therapeutic part of my recovery. My blog, divorceddad101.com, is an extension of that need to talk. In my writing I focus a lot on the challenges that my divorce has raised, but I also have a lot of experience with children. Between my three teens, and my 20+ years of teaching, I have an understanding of kids that I think can be helpful to other dads. Come check out the conversation!”
